I remember attending the Long Beach IndyCar (CART, whatever) race in 1987. We were cruising the back streets in a ‘65 DeVille convertible heading at about 15 mph to a parking area. We had something like seven people in the car, and four of us were sitting on top of the back seat enjoying the sunshine. Somebody said “cop” and two seconds later we had four sitting in the back seat rather than on it. There was plenty of room.
